CNY coming to a close

another day, another post. I'm actually quite consistently consistent recently. Not bad huh? So yeah, CNY has reach it's end.. or rather the holidays (the only holidays for my first semester). It just passed by so fast. Heck I haven't even really enjoyed SPM holidays yet. Speaking of that... SPM results are coming out in another 3 weeks or so!!! OMG! so fast. Well, looking back at it.. I'd be satisfied with probably 8A's. Anything more than that would be awesome. I took 12 subjects by the way. Haha, time for some reunion with some people I havent seen in 3 month or so. Oh how I missed 8th december 2009 !! old buddies and best friends, not to mention great teachers and awesome experiences

Okay, lets recap on how CNY penned out.
1st day - visitation at relatives and my home
2nd day - dinner with relatives
3rd-6th day - did nonsense with friends and stuff
7th day - did assignments!! (whole day)
8th day - resumed church duties (had unexpected company that day xS) and hung out with friends to watch the MU game (which they lost! x( )
Today - hung out with friends.. band practice (fail)

So i guess this year' CNY wasn't half that bad. Loads to learn from it. Oh and I got tempted by Satan thrice or four times I can't remember. (satan used someone close to me x( )
I hope you had your share of fun and angpaus. Oh by the way, mine didn't even hit the rm200 mark! hahaha... a few ringgit short of it xPxP
so I guess i'll see y'all again soon.
P.S. I didn't realise the song "do you remember" can be such an awesome party/clubbing song. Friends and I danced to it so euphorically. :) Try it out sometime hehe
And okayyyyy... my sister's cake tasted..... Decently OKAY!! that's as far as i go :)

A New Creation !!

HI!! I finally finished my share of the assignments. I can relax abit now with my conscience intact. But anyway, I've gotta post this bout my sister as she finally cooked something.. or rather in this case, baked something. :)
Yeah, she baked a chocolate cake. (she asked me if i was gonna blog about it, so yeah sis if you're reading... i'm doing the honours of blogging about it) So, she's been going on and on bout baknig this cake and finally that time has come to be.
Okay, let me review from what i know. By the looks of it, it looks very dull. I mean there's nothing exciting bout (though I musn't expect much 'cuz it is after all her first time). And the chocolate topping tastes rather bland. Apparently it should taste okay once you eat it with the cake (so she's says). Well, I hope she's right. She did literally spend the whole day doing it. It better be of some worth. There's only 3 outcomes right now....
-I wait for someone to taste it and hopefully if it's good then I can share the joy too
-I taste it myself and risk me dying because of it xPxP
-I wait for someone to taste it and end up not having a single bite at all (you know who ate it all)

So.... right now it's in the fridge.... cooling. I wonder who'll be the first one to have a munch at it.

Just a thought

hey people. So i was thinking the other day... how did Valentine's Day come to be? So, I did a lil' research ( dunno how valid it is) but yeah I found something. anyways, have a look see and you might just actually learn something today from this blog. xPxP

Every year, the fourteenth day of the month of February has millions across the world presenting their loved ones with candy, flowers, chocolates and other lovely gifts. In many countries, restaurants and eateries are seen to be filled with couples who are eager to celebrate their relationship and the joy of their togetherness through delicious cuisines. There hardly seems to be a young man or woman who is not keen to make the most of the day.

The reason behind all of this is a kindly cleric named Valentine who died more than a thousand years ago.

It is not exactly known why the 14th of February is known as Valentine's Day or if the noble Valentine really had any relation to this day. The history of Valentine's Day is impossible to be obtained from any archive and the veil of centuries gone by has made the origin behind this day more difficult to trace. It is only some legends that are our source for the history of Valentine's Day.

But it was only during the 14th century that St. Valentine's Day became definitively associated with love. UCLA medieval scholar Henry Ansgar Kelly, author of "Chaucer and the Cult of Saint Valentine", credits Chaucer as the one who first linked St. Valentine's Day with romance. In medieval France and England it was believed that birds mated on February 14. Hence, Chaucer used the image of birds as the symbol of lovers in poems dedicated to the day. In Chaucer's "The Parliament of Fowls," the royal engagement, the mating season of birds, and St. Valentine's Day are related:

"For this was on St. Valentine's Day, When every fowl cometh there to choose his mate."

Addictions

Hello. haha, I'm taking a more subtle approach this time. So, do you know the game DOTA? Well, i'm sure you have or at least heard 'bout it somewhere. So yeah you guessed it... I'm addicted to that game, like literally mind blank addicted (not sure if I used the right term). It's like I need a few hours dose of it everyday. And to think I was so against it last time.. I was the 'anti-Dota' dude of all my friends. literally everyone of them played except me. Sadly, I've been converted into one of them too. -sigh-
I probably need to go to rehab ( haha amy winehouse's song ). gosh, i've been wasting my life away. It started after SPM finished. gosh, talking bout it already makes me feel very depressed.
Okay, lets talk bout the happy times. MAN U won AC Milan the other day!! haha, day of jubilee. 3 away goals isn't half that bad huh? x) I expect them to go through, if not comfortably then at least by the away goal.
Hmm... CNY holidays are for a week and I've got 2 assignments to hand up, dunno if I can finish it in time. One is a powerpoint slide on a creation ( how it looks like, functions, etc. ) and the other a 3000 words report on skinheads. All it takes is one day, to sit down and do nothing but that. I'm still waiting for that day xP
Oh by the way, did I tell you bout my sis trying to lose weight? (sorry bout this post) But yeah, it's like she's got it all planned out. Not to say she's fat or anything. ( just so you know, she's known as the "rat" in the house cuz if you place food anywhere in the house and leave it for a day or two, it'll be gone, I can assure you... into her stomach). Anyways, she's got this list of things to do to get "hot legs"..... i know, -no comment- right? that's what I thought. You should see that list. It's like "serious" in a way at the same time "ridiculous" in a way. O'well, hopefully she loses that *1kg* she wanted !!
By the way, I've watched the sequel of American Pie 2. Pretty awesome movie just like the first installment. Very funny... Can't watch the 3rd one though, American Wedding... stupid DVD a bit "cacat-ed".

Valentine's Special!

It's a Valentine/CNY Special!! I'ma give ya two posts in one day :)
Yeah, how often do you get CNY and Valentine's on the same day?! hehe cool huh?
So, as usual we did our celebration visitings... this year however my relatives decided to pay a visit to my house instead (one of the very few times). What was pretty awesome was towards the end we were join by my three other cousins from the different locations in the UK via SKYPE.. i think. It was so awesome to see them again and have them celebrate with us as well. Overall it was great. haha, I was right about it being a bit special this year.
Oh and about Valentine's... Hmmm... did you do something lovely for your valentine? I got some pretty nice messages and some disturbing ones too. I hope you sent your loved one something nice and lovely. Or there's the alternative of goign to watch the movie 'Valentine's Day'! haha..it looks like a pretty decent movie, but I really only wanna watch it 'cuz ot's a star-studded cast. Like really superstar actors!!
Anyways, I've watched the first installment of 'American Pie'( i know im outdated) and it was quite nice.. very funny. I can't wait to see the next one. The third one however I heard was pretty "R-rated"... so I guess I won't be watching it anytime soon.
So, how's your holidays kicked off so far? I hope you're doing okay. Do go visiting safely and come back safely so you have the chance to read my following posts! hahaha!
But yeah, I've got a feeling (BEP SONG!!) that this year's gona be awesome. I don't know why. If it hasn't already turned out well for you, don't worry.... it will soon enough, trust me. After all, the theme for my church this year is 'the year of transition'. So it must mean something if its coming from God huh? xPxP

Eewwww!!

wassup peoplez... yeah remember when i told you that I saw something like really really disgusting the other day? Okay, so let me fill you on in it. You see, I reach home from college at bout say... 6.30? Oh by the way, this happened last thursday. So anyways... there's this 'sticky thing' my mum bought to trap lizards onto it. It's kinda what you call a 'lizard killer'. You jz open it up, lay some lizard food right in the middle and wait for the lizards to crawl upon the thing and get stuck there. However, my grandma not knowing how it functions jz placed it randomly without placing the lizard food. Surprisingly though, the lizards still end up taking a stroll on the thing and get caught in it. so, moving on... my grandma caught quite a few already. Thus, she decided to put one outside the house.. thinking maybe she could catch some out there too. Indeed, she did manage to catch one small lil' one. So yeah, it was still left out there for a few weeks. I tend to look at it every time i get back home. Instead of lizards and cockroaches.. it kinda caught loads of flies instead.
So, same thursday afternoon. I reached home bout 5.30 that day ( earlier cz friend fetched me home ). i did my usual routine. As i bent over to look at the contraption, i was taken aback by this huge brown ball on it. At first I thought it was a RAT!! but the fur was quite long (that' what i thought). Then I had a closer look... that's when i realised.....
it was a bloody BIRD!!! you know those lil' brown birds that fly around ur houses everyday and chirp nonstop? yeah its one of them. It was faced flat down on its left side, both face and body. I quickly called my sis and grandma. apparently it wasn't there when my sis got back from school (which was bout 2)... so I guess it was probably there bout 3 hours tops. I wanted to throw the trap away along with the bird when my grandma asked me to check if it was still alive( luckily she asked me)... As I approached the creature, the HEART was STILL BEATING!! OMG!
I nearly fainted. (over dramatic) First thought came to my mind was to take it off. But the FACE!! it's STUCK!! If i take it off, will half the face come off too!?! *Dilemma*
I was pushing the task to my sis to do it as she did the exact same thing to me. In the end my grandma got a pair of plastic bags and decided to do it herself.
At first it was still bearable to watch. She got hold of the body and slowly pulled it off the sticky thing. (when i say sticky.. i mean it's really really sticky!!!) I could see the feathers coming off slowly. I could see fear in the poor lil' thing's eyes. I mean... imagine a big rather *old* ( sorry popo) creature pulling literally ur wing apart whilst knowing there isn't a single thing you can do. gosh!
Anyway moving on... the body part was still watchable but when it came to the face... to watch her pull the bird's face slowly.... omg omg omg!! it was disgusting. I turned away.. almost barfed, couldn't bear to watch. when she pulled it off, I could barely see the left face... the fur was off. But that wasn't what I was afraid of.. (DID THE EYEBALL COME OFF?!?!) OMG OMG!!
I wanted to see if the eye was still there, but I couldn't get the right angle. Anyways, my grandma then pulled the remaining parts slowly (still disgusting) and miraculously the bird flapped its wings and flew off. I saw it's left wing literally featherless and it was bleeding slightly. OUCH! It flew onto a nearby branch and started licking itself. I went to have a closer look again to see if the left eye was still there but it flew away before I could get a closer view.
Sigh... I felt really bad and sorry for the fellow. O'well at least it survived...
