All Over

3 things. Teacher's Day performance is over!! Mid-term exams are over !!!! Manchester United's reign as European champions are over!!!!!
Okay we'll take it one step at a time. First up is the performance. Oh well, based on the feedback I got, I think everything went well. The only downside to it was where my partner Kai Xiang's guitar wasn't loud enough. Come to think of it, no one actually heard his guitar. -sigh- If only this mishap didn't happen it really would have been a great performance. Anyway, it's a learning lesson we will move forward with. Oh and it was a nice feeling to play the song and have the whole crowd (including the teachers!!) sing it with you. Moreover, the two flowers really sparked things up !
haha. Yeah overall I guess it was great, seeing as it was my first performance in front of a really big and tough crowd.
We're moving on... finally mid-terms are over !! yeah! I think I did relatively okay this term. I didn't really study much except probably for add math. I did receive two papers back. I got an A1 for math and a very sad B3 for Bio. Gosh, I really gotta buck up on Bio to have any chance of getting into med school... really ! Anyway, yeah mid-terms are done with and here come the holidays !
Last but not least, how could Manchester United lose to Barcelona 2-0 ?!?!
I'm not saying Barcelona don't deserve it 'cause they really battered ManU, totally and utterly outplaying them, but 2-0?? -sigh- I as a Manchester United fan am really disappointed with the team performance and I bow before the best team in the world, Barcelona CF.
Let me evaluate MU's performance by player based on my view..
-Van Der Sar
Did well, made a few good saves to keep Manchester United in the game. Probably Man U's best player on the night.
-John O'Shea
did his job but didn't really offer much of an attacking option for the team.
-Rio Ferdinand
Way below what he is capable of. Not controlling enough in the box and no leadership.
-Nemanja Vidic
Utterly poor game. This one goes together with the Liverpool game where I have never seen him play so badly. He was one of the reason's that Eto' managed to score the first goal. Sloppy defending at crucial moments.
-Patrice Evra
Had his game plan of stopping Messi totally wrecked after the Argentine maestro was deployed in the middle of the midfield. Hardly sparked anything down the left flank.
-Park JiSung
Didn't bring anything to the game at all apart from the 2nd minute when he almost scored. Literally invisible at times and a real disappointment.
-Anderson
I felt he was really of no use in the game. He was actually deployed in midfield to run his socks off chasing the likes of Andres Iniesta and Xavi but seriously? I don't understand how he could have just let Iniesta run pass him as though he wasn't even there and that led to the first and crucial goal.
-Ryan Giggs
Probably one of MU's better players. Then again, no vision with the ball and no ideas sparking when those were the key elements needed. My idol failed me miserably.
-Wayne Rooney
I think he was one of MU's worse off players, giving away the ball too cheaply on numerous occasion and not imposing himself in the game. Indecisive at times and not offering much of an attacking option although he did get a few chances himself.
-Michael Carrick
Not enough pinpoint passing that he usually does. Didn't take control of the game and lost the midfield battle to Iniesta and Xavi completely. Never did look like running the midfield at all that day.
-Cristiano Ronaldo
Selfish at times but looking at the way the other MU players were doing, I don't really blame him for using the ball himself. Wasn't his day as Messi won the battle of the 'best player in the world'.

I won't give you the details for the subs ( Berbatov, Scholes and Tevez ) as you can see 2-0 doesn't say much about them. I guess it was the wrong tactics by Fergie this time, such a waste. Don't worry we'll get another stint at it next year ! Sorry if I've been a little critical up there..
Yeah, enough of football for me for the season, only left with the FA Cup Final tomorrow. Oh and just so you didn't know, the French Open is on now and I'm supporting Rafael Nadal all the way for a 5th consecutive Roland Garros title.
Mmmm.... Basketball East and West conference are also on with the scores tied at 2-2 and 2-1 respectively ( last time I checked ). Last but not least, Jenson Button won the latest track event at the french grid. Looks like Mclaren and Ferrari are going down the drain this year.
That's about the latest news in sports I know. Heading for a new day tomorrow, so I guess I'll be seeing ya'll again soon.
till the next one peeps,

P.S. I'm starting that D.O.T.A. game now. I know how much I criticised it before but yeah I'm trying it now. I'm not a hypocrite! So yeah that's all. See ya..

What is to come ahead?

Heya fellas...
First of all, "I told you so!" Manchester United were gonna make it into the final. I never really had a doubt about it and quite frankly I don't think any of the players did. Like Patrice Evra said and I quote, " It was like 11 men against 11 babies". He couldn't have said it any better, sorry to all you Arsenal fans. I wasn't correct on the other match, that I really pity 'em Chelsea fans. Then again, a Barcelona v ManchesterUnited match is a dream Champions League final come true. Ronaldo versus Messi, haha battle of the football gods. Anyway, we'll see how that pends out in a couple of weeks time.
So, with the Champions League final to look forward to, what else in life seems interesting nowadays? Seriously, nothing much.. my social life is going into bits. More so the fact that I have that three week long exams to enjoy starting Tuesday ( what actually am I doing blogging then?!?! ). There's the CF drama play on the 30th, FCS2 on the 31st, Teacher's Day performance ( dunno when ) and futsal match-ups within the month. So yeah, May has quite a few promising events in store. But really, all my attention is on the mid-term exams ( so I say ) and I really hope I get above average results. Any C's would really kill me. At least a B4 yeah? ( that's bad enough already )
Oh and my school organized a trip to Taylor's the other day. It was a cool and learning experience at the same time kinda fun too. In case you didn't already know, I'm planning to indulge myself into the medicine field ( that's after watching 5 seasons of Grey's Anatomy ), but there's also that hint of interest in engineering. Taylor's provide more of an engineering kinda course than meds ( i'm not that sure they even provide for meds ) so I don't see myself actually studying there but it was nice to see how college lifestyle looks and feels like. I also met quite a number of my ex-seniors.
My mom has been bugging me about this National University of Singapore thing which quite frankly seems good according to her. It's positioned in the top 30 or something like that in the list of overall rankings of unis across the globe, so I guess it must be pretty good. It's hard to get in though, probably need to score like straight A1s to have a chance to get in. -sigh- ( straight A1s.... what a dream that would be )
It seems many of my friends like engineering, only a handful opting for medicine and law. I guess we'll wait and see how that all works out in a year's time. I probably should put it to rest for now. Too much planning makes me nervous and tired so yeah I think that'll be a good idea.
It's time for the Manchester derby now... I promise I'll study right after the match... :)
Till the next one people, it's me saying goodbye !
