Wonderful time of Christmas celebration !

20th December 2008. I guess you can say it was one of the highlights of year 2008 for me. For the first time, I played the guitar and worshipped along with my dad in front of about 100 people in celebration of Christmas. We had friends, relatives ( Chung family ), neighbors, all come together in my house to have a wonderful time celebrating Christmas.
It was great; atmosphere was good, people were having a good time, food was fantastic, games were awesome, testimonies were touching and of course the worship was ' DA BOMB ' ! ( haha.. xP)
So yeah, playing in front of a crowd that big ( ok well, it wasn't that big but still ) really gives you a taste of how it feels performing in front of lots of people with most of them staring at you. I was a lil' anxious at first but as I began to play ( as they say ).. that anxiety gradually fades off.
I hope this is a learning phase as I look forward to more opportunities to perform in front of a bigger crowd.
Another plus for Christmas is the fact that MANCHESTER UNITED won the FIFA World Club Cup, beating Gamba Osaka 5-3 in the semis and LDU De Quito 1-0 in the finals with Wayne Rooney claiming the MVP award for the tournemant. More so the fact that Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all drew in the week's Premier League fixtures leaving MU with two games in hand and only 7 points behind leaders Liverpool. So, all in all it has been a tiring yet exciting week for me. I hope it is too for you guys and I'm back into the Prison Break and Heroes season.
Gotta keep track with those two series and by the way, I watched 90210 yesterday and Boy ! do i love that show. till next time peeps

Rekindling old times

Isn't it just great when you and your friends get together to just celebrate those times where we fill each other's gaps in lives and do nothing else but live out the moment. Well, I did that yesterday with most of the people in my class and I think most of us had a jolly good time. I must say it wasn't really planned superbly but at the end of the day, I think it went fairly well.
We had games, mingling, PS2 marathons, chatting, food, wild theatrics and but of course loads of laughter; just the basic essentials when it comes to having nothing but fun.
This party was actually initiated by one of my friends with intention of bringing the class together ( plus a few outsiders ) to just celebrate and end the year with the people we've spent the year most with. Of course, it was planned so late to add that little flavor of Christmas to the event as gift exchanges and Christmas caroling were also part of the programme.
My friend ( Joycelyn ) and I co-worked together for the most part of it with the help of a few others to make this a successful event. I offered my house as the venue in case you didn't know. All in all, I think and hope all of us had a good time. There might be another one next year, who knows huh?... :P

Time just wasn't right

Well, most of you know what this post will be about. Yeah, it's regarding the recently concluded WYSC2008. I went into this tourney aiming for a top 5 finish or top 10 at the very least. By God's grace I played superbly ( not taking my gibsonised matches into account ) en route to the final play-off. However when it mattered most, I lost composure and played like a mediocre in the final game 4. You should've seen me in the playing room during the 4th game. I was literally sweating and scared before the game started knowing that if I had lost that game, it was all over. More so the fact that the whole world was watching my every move. All the tension and stress got to me and I missed simple bingoes like BIPEDAL, BIPLANE, DAUBIEST and so on. It was really disappointing to end it that way after playing so well during the 22 games.
I guess this just wasn't the right time for me to shine. I musn't worry 'cause I'm sure it's just an opening for more and better things to come. And besides, I have next year to come back and try win that elusive trophy. So, wish me luck for that... though SPM is just around the corner. XP
You can catch all the coverage at http://www.youthscrabble.org/wysc2008/index.html
Anyway, away from all that commotion... Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all had disappointing draws yesterday. Chelsea could take advantage today if they win their match.
Oh and Heroes is into its 12th episode !! I can't wait to see it. I've been stuck on episode 8 for some time now...
In case y'all didn't know, I've superbly head over heels over this actress Jessica Stroup. I think I've posted about it before but I can't help it but to do it again 'cause she' really is BEAUTIFUL. I'm seeing her everywhere on TV now. I hope you take a look at her yourself and tell me what you think of her. xP
Last but not least, regarding my end-year exam results. Well, it's been an improvement from the previous ones but still ended up a disappointing 19th in class. That's probably the result of studying about only 5-6 hours a week, 2 weeks leading up to the exam. At least I'm safe in the top tier class, hopefully... We'll see how that pends out come next year.
Dudes, blogging is tiring so I better go watch the rest of 'em Heroes now. Till next time, peeps!

here we go again

Yeah fellas, is that time of year again. WYSC is coming up real close and I mean 2 days close. Gawd, it's already been a year since last year's smashing tourney. I've been looking forward to this year's WYSC alot. Been preparing and practising, improving every element of my game, hence the victory in melaka. Bu t I think this has backfired of late resulting in headaches and memory loss. Those words that I've been implanting into my brain for the past week are leaking out one by one and my so called "sky high" confidence has dropped to an ultimate low. I hope it's not too late to change things around. What do you have to do to be relaxed heading into a big occasion such as this? 'Cause I really wanna know if you'd like to share.
Let's just hope it doesn't affect my game then huh? I'm leaving for penang tomorrow afternoon and I really hope I can sleep off all this stress and back to my level-best come the tournemant. Wish me luck and I hope to make you proud.
By the way, Causeway Scrabble Championships just concluded with David Eldar snatching the premier division's trophy and the US$10000 that goes with it. So, congrats to the lad. Meanwhile, Theodoro bagged the Open division and RM5000 as well, so congrats to him too. I hope I can do the same as what these guys are doing. And about all the commotion regarding Zafar's mishandling of the tile bag, I'm so very eager to see the conclusion of that drama filled feud. I hope it turns out well enough.
So i'll talk to you guys again after WYSC2008 this thursday or friday. Till then guys and girls... darren khoo going off

triumphant and moving on

hey you lazy readers... yeah, another post for this ever cool blog. xP
First of all, I've removed the youtube song on the side for your convenience. So do stop complaining to me about it yeah?
Anyway, about the last post. I triumphed in the malacca tourney that took place last week. How cool is that man! I bagged home rm500, that's my second tourney victory. I'm elated, more so the fact that I did it with two games to spare. So, I'm fairly pleased with the results and congrats to rama for finishing runner-up, he played well. I'm going into the WYSC on the 9-11 with a bang! watch out, i'm gonna come back with money this time. LoL
Put that aside.. I visited my cousin's house yesterday to have a look at her newborn son. We were also told to help in pitching in a number of names for the baby boy. It was rather hilarious though. You see, her husband is quite chinese educated so he doesn't speak much english, therefore his english accent isn't very good. So as we were discussing with my cousin about the name, the few names that made all of us laugh were Matthew. Why? Because her husband might not be able to pronounce it properly and say "thew" instead which in chinese means ( fu*k). So imagine calling your son, " fu*k, fu*k come here for a moment please". LOL !!
Another one was Ryan. That's because he might say "lion" instead. haha. There were a few more but I can't quite recall, so have fun with the two above. xP
Oh and for all you girls... 'Twilight' the movie was just released a few days ago. Like all the girls I know, I'm sure you've booked your tickets for it like two weeks ahead huh? anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it. Oopps, I mean girls.
For you guys instead, today's football fixtures are superb and mouth-watering. All Manchester United fans like me, prepare to celebrate a victory over Man City tonight. As for the Arsenal v Chelsea match, I wouldn't mind a draw of a win for Arsenal - just not a win for Chelsea.
Phew, this is tiring... I think I better go now. I'll post the next one asap yeah?

warming up

hey guys, I just realized that most of you with your standardized computer size can't see my post, or at least the latest one. I couldn't see the problem cos my or rather the family's computer is rather large, so I didnt really have that problem. I'll remove the youtube video and replace it with something smaller then. :)
Today's the day before I'm off to melaka for the scrabble tourney there. I hoping to do well there not only for the prize but also as a small morale boosting confidence ahead of this year's WYSC to be held in penang during the 9-11 december. Wish me luck yeah?
Oh and I'm having this CG party at my house this sunday, so pray that it all goes well yea?
Oh and by the way, if you watch the TV series "Reaper" and "90210" then you certainly would've met Jessica Stroup. She's Silver in 90210 and Cady in Reaper. I just wanna say...
MY GOD, SHE'S HOT !! and beautiful !!
She's broken into my top 10 most beautiful girls in the world list. Not that it's hard to be in this nonsensical list, all you need is a pretty face and nice body. " Did I just say body?".... anyway, if you haven't caught a glimpse of this diva, go catch the series 90210 or Reaper and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Anyway getting very very late. Have to get up early tomorrow. night guys

done and dusted

nov 7, 10.45am finally exams are over !! but sad part is, that also spells the end of another year.. *snap* just like that. Really gotta start focusing on SPM next year now, no joke ! xP
Anyway, news from around the world...
Most significantly Obama being the new President of U.S. first black dude to hold the post. Yeah it's a historic moment but then again, it's happening in the U.S. Why are people here all so excited about it. Sure, it'll cause a drastic change in the world but hey ! there's enough commotion within the country, so look inwards first before you look outwards.
Urghhh, never did like talking 'bout politics. Moving on the football! Arsenal are gonna clash with Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. Best catch the action live or you're gonna rue it. Not much happening with the other matches so I guess I'd wrap it up at that.
Celebrity world... 90210 was just released on ASTRO and phew! the whole cast are hot! girls I mean. dunno bout the guys, you rate them yourselves. Will look forward to tuning on to it next week. Oh and The Apperentice, you know the one with Donald Trump in it. For all you fans, looks like the boys team are just gonna keep on winning. haha x)
Okay, abit closer to reality now. Having a slight fever now *sucks*. Just wanna thank and appreciate all my classmates this year for everything and if I get relegated to the next class then oh well, I loved all the special moments we had together.
Gosh, the fever is taking over me. I think I'd better go sleep it off so that I'm afresh tommorrow. Good night then,
You're tuning into the 'Real World'

the end is near

it's november 4th today. Phew !! how fast was that. I've done everything that I have this year, scrabble tourneys, traveling, movie marathon, book muggings, football training, EPL action, exams and practically everything. I'll look back at this year on december 31 and I hope I won't regret anything. Do you ever get the feeling of regret when you look back at the things you've done? I mean not looking back on lifetime regrets, just during a period of time. Surely you have, no? sigh, it's about what you do about it after that. I have this saying and it really hit me, it says "What we are today is a result of our own past actions; Whatever we wish to be in the future depends on our present actions; Decide on how you have to act now.
"we are responsible for what we are, whatever we wish ourselves to be. We have the power to make ourselves."
What a quotation huh?.. anyway it's saved on my desktop so I see it every time I go on the computer and it reminds me of what I do every now and then. ahh, I hope it has an impact on you too.
Oh well, speaking of exams.. my finals is finishing this friday on november 7th and right after that I have a scrabble tourney on sunday. so gotta get choppin' already. Have got lots of events planned out during the school holidays so I'm really looking forward to it. So guys, if you're reading this take a breather and just reminisce on what you've done lately. haha I sound like some guru with no qualifications. xP
till next time

LOUD2008 !

Hiya fellas!
Welcome again to this bloggy. Haven't had much time to update 'cause of recent exams. I should'nt even be posting this 'cause I'm still having exams but I had to tell you about LOUD2008 that took place yesterday night at my church DUMC.
1st of all you wanna know if it was awesome? Okay, that's a no brainer. Obviously it was awesome. I think it was DOUBLY AWESOME!! Or at least it was a lot better than I had expected. If you missed it then I just feel sorry for you. From the food, games and performances to the events that took place in the auditorium, was just simply awesome. It was a once in a life time and I thought it was rather life changing for most of us. The were quite a number of people who went up for altar call and that was a great sign for better things to come. I hope and I'm quite sure next year is only gonna be LOUDER and MORE EXCITING than this year. Hmmm... if this year is already that good, I wonder how next year is gonna be. I'm running outta superlatives.
Phew, all the euphoria, still filling me up. anyway, emmm... my remaining exams are Add. Maths, civics and P.J. Only add math is still forcing me to continue mugging books at the moment. The other two aren't really that important. Come November 7 I'm a free man ! YaY!! I'm having a scrabble tourney on the November9 so I hope I can recuperate my scrabble words ASAP or I'm a goner. Better go solve some add math questions now. See ya guys next time !

THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS to Goh Ann Gie for accepting the Lord at 9.20pm 26/10/2008
Another soul and another child of God is saved. Praise the Lord !!!!

piling, piling, piling

Very long since the last post. Have kinda been inactive from blogging, distracted by other things. Anyway, about those other things. They include homework, scrabble, guitar, exams, church activities and friendly occasions. The work load is piling up as the days go by.
Okay, let me just sum up what you've missed in this life of mine.

I went for the Chelsea game at the Bukit Jalil stadium. caught a glimpse of the star-studded team. Peter Cech, Joe Cole, Lampard, Shevchenko, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Deco, Ballack and the rest of them. The atmosphere was crazy, expecially as the Chelsea team steeped out on to the field. Peter Cech was the first one and it was a standing ovation eventhough it was only one player. A friend of mine had a pair of binoculars and I actually used it to look at Peter Cech's ass while he did his warmups. LoL, yeah I know its kinda sick but oh well, I only see them once in a long time so why not do everything i can while I have the chance? xP
Basically, had a blast at the stadium. Malaysia played well but still ended up losing 2-0. Great game though and great experience personally for me as I have never really seen like big name people like that of the Chelsea team first hand, you know. So yeah, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Moving on, I just went for a scrabble tournament lately, qualifier to be exact. Oh well, did pretty okay ending up 2nd again for the second year running and still playing second fiddle to Suanne again for the second year running. At least the most important thing was to get my butt into the malaysian lineup for this years WYSC2008 at Penang in December. I hope to do well this year, or at least better than the previous two years. Bring some money back home ! and possibly a trophy and goodies along with it. We'll see!

We're still going.... So, I had one of my biggest test so far. You know how I said that my biggest dream is to one day play and sing on a stage filled with thousands of people and just serenate to them? Well, I kinda got a taste of how it feels like to play in front of a huge crowd. I was playing for a cell group function for my youth group and coincidentally we combined with another group so I actually did a head count and it was 29 people ( okay maybe its far off from thousands of people but still.. ) Yeah it was a little scary at first but once I got into the mood I think it went pretty well. I got some feedback from my friends about how I did and apparently I did quite well ( they actually said this, I"m not making it up xP ). O'well, as they say, you have to take baby steps before you get to the Big One!!

I think those are the three big significant things that happened to me over this few months. Sorry can't add any more, don't have the time. Oh yeah, so you know.. I've picked up quite a number of songs on the guitar. Lemme see...

Hero ( enrique Iglesias )
More than words (extreme)
Tear drops of my guitar (tear drops of my guitar)
My Love (backstreetboys)
When you say nothing at all (ronan Keating)

Those are a few of the songs that I've learnt. So many more, can't quite name them, maybe someday if I'll perform one of them then you'l come see huh? Can't wait to learn more. kinda exciting I feel.
Amidst of all this things happening, exams are drawing near so I have to buck up on my studies and I mean REALLY buck up ony my studies. Don't wanna do as badly as I did last term round, so anyway I will catch up with you guys asap and till next time peoplez..

Two Faced Shmucks

Hi there.
So, I've been thinking lately. Each time I watch those teenage flicks on tv about teenage girls back stabbing one another, I say to myself ( I don't get girls. What's with all the backstabbing nonsense. Can't you just get along?? ). Okay maybe I don't say it during the movie but when it actually happens in front of me, then yeah. I've heard a million and one stories from friends about this backstabbing situations and it really is getting kinda old.
I used to think only girls go through this phase in life but I guess boys also have their moments when some idiot just decides to do something behind their back. I sorta experienced that 2 years back with a so-called good friend of mine. Long story short, he promised my other good friend that we would help him tackle his love interest but instead getting her for himself. I never really believed it at first but oh well I guess some people are just really stupid.
I haven't experienced a two faced shmuck for a long time till this year. There's this one guy whom I was getting along with very well until.. well I'm not sure when ( you'll have to ask him ) but anyway, there was this feeling of dislike towards me. I could sense it eventhough he doesn't show it. I've tried being nice to him whilst ignoring all the nonsense he's been doing and how he's been treating me. Sometime I guess patience has its limits. I mean after all I was there consoling him when he was down about his relationship and life overall. This is how he repays me? My God!
Day by day he just annoys me more and well, I can't take it anymore. Moreover, if you don't like me then just tell me or don't hang around me. I hate two face shmucks who act all innocent and with holding a grudge inside. It's not just that, he's turning my other friends against me, telling them all the wrong stuff about me and influencing them so they'd too start disliking me. Gosh ! If there wasn't a law about hitting someone in the face, I would've smack that grin of his pathetic face each time I saw it.

Okay okay darren, calm down. It's not worth fussing about. Like I've said before, they're just being juvenile and I should let them be. Have you ever felt as such before? Or somewhat similar to this. I bet you have. Don't you just hate this group of people? Whatever I don't even care anymore.

Too much hatred and rage in one day can be painful. I guess I'd best stop all this before it prolongs any further and gets worse. till next time my fellow wannabe bloggers !

Reminiscing Old Times

Hi there. So, you're now tuning into darren's personal life. Sit down, take a sip of your nicely made coffee and enjoy....

So, there I was. Sitting down by the window, staring blankly into the sky as deep thoughts went through my mind. It's just one of those times where my mind takes off in 'Darren World'. Yeah anyways, so I had a flashback of a moment that happened back in January 2008. The first week of school reopening was rather relaxing as there weren't much to do. Then came the day where all the students were streamed into their seperate classes. I joined those who too had interest in the pure science stream and seeing as my PMR results were good, I was placed in the 1st class as expected. I haven't been to the first class since primary school when i was in the first class for four consecutive years. I moved on to S.M.K. Seafield and they didn't really believe in cramming all the good students in one class. So, I finally got the taste of being with the elite once again.
I had a tough first week there as I was quite new to most of them and so making friends took a little while. But there was one time when this friend of mine kept on asking me to shift to his class which was the third tier in the form. I mean, most of my friends were there and seeing as I didn't really fit in well so I took a day to consider it. You should've seen me that day. I was literally going crazy 'cause that decision is after all gonna cost me the whole year nad maybe the next too. Not to mention my future....
I finally decided and I went to the counseling room to inform teacher which class I wanted to be in. Hmmm.... which do you think I would've gone to? ( of course this is not for my school mates as they already know )

Okay, if you guessed that I followed my friend into the 3rd class....

then you're...

SO WRONG !!! ( means you don't know me that well )

I decided to enrol into the top class. It was really difficult at first because as I said earlier I haven't been in the top class for some time and lately I've been given the impression that the first class comprised of total nerds. I said to myself "ahhh... who cares? you're no nerd and so what if you turn into a nerd? It's only for a year or two".
As time went by, I started to blend in with the people and eventually I knew everybody quite well. All those smart ones turn out to be just like me. I mean, none of them were actually like those really ridiculous nerds who live and breathe their books. For example, there are these two girls, Andrea and Joycelyn whom lived in my neighbourhood but I haven't really had the chance to talk them... they're really cool. And Tian Xiang whom I thought was a total 'Professor' like kinda person turned out to be a nice guy who likes to talk and yeah maybe he does have the 'professor' look but still.. the point is I was so wrong 'bout them and I really shouldn't have judged them in the first place.

Besides that, there are a few things I've come to enjoy; such as a classmate of mine who constantly approaches Andrea and Joycelyn each and everyday ( you know who you are ) without fail. It's really fascinating, some of these people. There are just so many characters which I have become fond of.

Then there are those just can't seem to get over small issues. These people to me are really juvenile. Oh well, I can't help them so I'll just let them be. And I dislike it when people judge me before they know me. There is this one dude who thinks very highly of himself and often discriminates others, so to speak and me being one of them. It's been several time that I was told "What is this? You bringing the 4 science 1 ( name of the class ) name down". I mean you just have to wake up and realise that that's just a name and nothing more. I don't feel at all proud of the class name. Maybe a little happy that I made it here but not proud. So, I just hate it when he does that.

Other than that, the class is really wonderful and I thoroughly believed I made the right choice ( gosh that sounds like an english exam question ). I'm glad I didn't follow my friend into the third class ( not that it's bad or anything ) because if I did, then I wouldn't have enjoyed 2008 as I am now. So, thanks for all those who made it all better for me.

Long reminiscence huh? I guess that's just what I do nowadays. So I'll save one more for the next time? This post is kinda long so I don't really blame ya if you stopped half way reading it ( then you wouldn't be reading this part of the post xP ). Until next time you Bloggers!!

First of all, exams are over! Gosh, you don't know how it feels to get them over and done with. The only down side to it is, I think I might've flunked physics and add math this term. That's why I intend to go all out for the endyear exams in october. I really have to buck up and catch up if I wanna go anywhere near an averagely good score. SO, I've been thinking and have come to the conclusion that I really need to do a three month reevaluation of what I'm gonna do. I'll probably start tomorrow I guess...

I've got lots to tell but just not the right time now. I'll save it for tomorrow. good night

preparing and going all out

hey guys. First of all, like I said before Rafael Nadal would win the French Open. haha and how right I was. I guess Djokovic just has to wait a little longer. Next Grand Slam up is Wimbledon, hmmm what are his chances? Anyway, I'm having a scrabble tourney up next week in Penang from the 20-22 June. I'm leaving this Friday early morning bout 3-4 am and will be back Sunday night. The entry fee itself is rm100 plus the cost it will take to go to and fro ( not to mention the recent rise in petrol price ), it's gonna cost a hefty sum of money. I hope I do well, I'm confident I can do alot better than the previous few tourneys. I think I've improved certain parts of my game and I'm gonna go all guns blazing. With 1000 USD up for grabs and rm1000 for runner-up and loads more until 9th runner-up spot, I think I should be geared up to go for it. Besides, I think it's time I break outta my shell and show what I'm worth and make my parents proud at the same time. I've still got a few days left before that big one and let's just wait and see what happens yeah? hehe
And for all you football fans out there, Euro2008 is underway. My team, Holland has kicked of to a fantastic start with a 3-0 rout of Italy last week. My 2nd team, Portugal is also doing very well having already qualified for the next stage winning the Czech Republic and Turkey. Holland are playing France tonight in group C ( tipped as the group of death ) whilst Italy are entertaining Romania in the other match. If Holland wins it and Italy beat Romania, it's gonna be a nail-biting finale between France and Italy, however if Italy lose or draw and Holland fail to beat France, then Italy are in a real doubtful situation. We'll just wait and see, oh by the way the first match just started, I think I better go watch it now before I miss out on any juicy highlights.
Tomorrow's gonna be crazy, having to be at church at 12pm until 8pm literally eating up my whole day. I'll try to blog again tommorrow if I have the time. Till the next time, it's darren here signing off..

tears and joy all around

Yo, yeah i know. Months since I've been here. Anyway, stop whining I'm here aren't I?
Well, as you all know mid-term just passed and we're cruising into the holidays. I managed to attend the 3rd MYSC challenge last week on the 24th and 25th. This time around it drew as much as 140+ (pic) participants, the most we've had so far. I however didn't fare so well, or at least not what I had expected of myself, partly due to the lack of practice lately. I finish the tourney coming in at 21st and it was a rather demoralizing perfomance all round. I have to congratulate my cousin though putting in a fine performance coming out untouched with 11 wins outta 11. Well done, Scott. Sean too was no shy of expectations as he came out on top with 3rd placing. It's a bitter dissapointment that I have to swallow but at least I met with some old mates that I have not seen in a few years including my dear teacher Pn. Thiliham. I think I'll look back at this and learn the few mistakes that proved so costly but yeah, let's just move forward.
Among the bingoes from which I produced were GITTERN, GUANINES, ENTRAIN, PINNETS, ATOMISE, PITCHER, TURDION, ERODING, BENDIEST, ENTAILED, ADVANCES, MOURNERS, SAUROID, FEATHERS, GARIALS, REPOTTED, NIDOROUS, BAILERS, STANYEL, INTRADOS and TREATING. Come to think of it, my bingoes were small in number and those in which I played weren't eye openers. Gosh, it's all just gone horribly wrong. I still have a couple of tourneys to redeem myself before WYSC in December.

Away from the scrabble scene, I've not been doing much except laze around and watching TV. Euro2008's coming up and I hope you all give great support to your respective teams. My favourite team here is Netherlands though I tip Italy or Germany to sweep the title. Anyway, Euro2008 isn't to start for another couple of weeks. For all you tennis fans out there, the French Open is currently underway. I want Novak Djokovic(pic) to win but it's gonna be tough wresting it from Rafael Nadal. Keep tuning to Channel 811 on Astro every 6 pm local time to catch some action of it. Till the next time peoples, darren here signing off.

hurdles ar' coming

yeah yeah.. been ages since i blogged but who could blame me? I'm passing time as if it was moving at 10 seconds per second ( if you get what I mean ). One minute it's 9 am, *snap* it's 5 pm already. Phew!! time just doesnt wait for me. I guess it doesn't wait for anyone. Oh well, I will just have to make do with what I've got.
It's been 3 months going into 2008. People have come and gone by, things have been done, places have been visited... so many things happening within this period yet so little is felt for any of them. It literally means, I've yet to do something memorable this year. have you? I hope you have, cause this three months just passed in a blink of any eye. Blink three more times and there goes year 2008. I mean seriously, you would want to remember something from it once its gone. Okay, I hope you don't mind me being all sentimental and mushy but I guess this time calls for it. You don't often see me in this situations but yeah, I've just been doing lots of daydreaming and thinking.
Anyway, breaking into April 2008. Birthday's coming up, so is mine ! I'm sixteen this year, can you believe that? sweet sixteen yeah i know. It's suppose to be special, so I'll try to make it one.
Besides that, I've also got a scrabble tourney just around the corner, followed by a futsal tournemant, multiple church activities and responsibilities ( oh did I tell you that I'm into a leader's training course? which means more things and resposibilities to do) and two consecutive weeks of worship leading. And with my test results from march's monthy test coming out bad, I've really got to buckle up on my studies or I'm in for a tough ride in form 4 ahead. Juggling all this is gonna be tough but I'll try my best not to get all entangled up in it. That's life I guess, trying to live it to the fullest. I will have to see y'all next week cause its getting late here.. will try to be more consistent with my blogging.
good night

they're off

hey people
my parents are finally off on their cruise with my uncle paolo and aunty sally for a few days. I guess I have the house all to myself. Although there is this creature of a sister living with me in it. - sigh -
And as you all know, my cousin and grand aunt has left for Italy last week. It was saddening to watch them leave but I guess you have to let go sometimes. - huge sigh -
One thing I can take positive from this past week is the fact that Arsenal drew 2-2 with Birmingham and MU smashed Newcastle 5-1 to narrow the gap between the two rivals to 3 points. kekekeke
It's just been a busy week and I don't really have much to say for now but I promise it will be a more eventful week next week. see y'all soon

Is it worth it?

Hey you guys,
As you all know, it was Valentine's Day yesterday. It wasn't really filled with commotion on my side although it did end pretty well. It all started from a tiny empty conversation that lead from one thing to another which resulted in something exciting and new. Oh well, I'm not gonna tell you guys what it is just yet as I'm taking the situation a step at a time. I hope the decision I made was worth as much as I think it is. I don't wanna be regretting it a few months later.
Tomorrow's gonna be a super busy day. I'm having church training courses in the morning, XYZ ( Xtraordinary Youth Zone ) after that, regular celebration at 5 pm, followed by attending a dinner for uncle's birthday. And once all that is over, I'm going off to my cousins house to overnight for a day so that I can ask him some Add Math's questions that just absolutely puzzles me. xPxP
Oh and by the way, don't forget to catch MANCHESTER UNITED v ARSENAL in the FA Cup 5th round on Saturday night, or rather Sunday morning 1.15am. It promises a supreme game of pure football and artistry from both sets of players. I can't wait for it!
It's drawing nearer to midnight, I think I better bunk it now before I go all drowsy for tomorrow's early morning training at 8.00 am!!
good night fella's

saying goodbye seems to be the hardest word

It has become a rather tradition nowadays that I say goodbye to almost everyone that I've know for sometime. * huge sigh *
The person you know who is leaving on the 19th of February and I ain't even got the chance to see her again. How sad, no? If only we all could meet and do our fun group thing again. Anyway, I guess we'll just see on how that plans out won't we?
My cousin Marina is leaving with nona Elsa on the 18th of Feb. Gosh, It's so soon and probably too soon for my liking but I have to accept it. Uncle Paolo and aunty Sally are gonna enjoy themselvess a little bit more before they take off back to Italy next month. All I wanted to do was spend good last moments with these people. Oh well, at least I did spend some time with them. Urgh, if only the day at 48 hours instead of 24.
Away from all the drama, I'll be getting my rm 200 this tuesday for excellent achievement in the recent PMR. Lol, thank God my year had to fall on the same year of the election thingy. That's one plus side to this solemn week. Oh and today is Valentine's Day ! So I'd like to wish all of y'all Happy Valentine's Day! You don't have to spend time with just your lover, but rather with those whom you love and cherish your time with. That's what I plan to do. x)
Oh well, I've gotta go and complete my Physics assignment. I'll see y'all real real soon now.
good night

Icing on the cake for CNY 2008

yo my peeps.
CNY 2008 is drawing to a close and "wow" so many things has happened over the past week that I can't believe it's only been a week. If only CNY was much longer than it is. - sigh -
As you'll know from the picture above that my relatives from Italy came to visit the family after a decade or so apart. It's been wonderful so far having them with us and the bond never grew apart despite the long distance between the families. I love that. That's my uncle Paolo lying on the floor, my sweet cousin Marina ( 1st row middle ), her grandmother or as we call her "nona" in Italian ( 2nd row from the left ) and my dear auntie Sally ( 3rd row 4th from the left ). It's been a blast spending time with them. Uncle Paolo hasn't changed much from the last time I saw him. H'e still the same cool big guy I knew back then. Marina however changed so much from the annoying brat who used to pull my hair ( if i can remember correctly ) to this wonderful pretty girl she is today. Personality wise I'm not so sure but so far she seems nice. She has been teaching me italian. HaHa!!! I've even been conversing with nona in italian for the past few days. Who knows, I might end up in Italy one day and this will all come in handy after all.
Sadly though, Marina and nona are leaving on the 18th of February because Marina has to resume her schooling back in roma. - BiG SiGh - If only she could spend more time here, then all of the cuzzes could spend just a little bit more time catching up. Oh well, I guess I'll try to earn some cash and go to Italy instead to visit her... someday.
Uncle Paolo and aunty Sally however are going sightseeing and might be bunking in with my family for a few days. hehe
Another thing is that my church had asked all the youth to do something for this year's CNY. I decided to wash the plates, haha. I'm no longer the small little boy who eats as fast as he can so he can get back to playing games or chit-chatting with cuzzes, instead I'm the one with the gloves and sponge scrubbing 'em dirty plates in the kitchen ( with the help of the maid of course XP ). Oh well, at least I've done my part of the share. My sister is yet to do hers, grrrrr.
I have to attend my cousin's ( sadly not in the picture but her siblings and parents are ) wedding tomorrow which starts at around 8.45 in the morning till afternoon where I'll have a few hours break before we resume for the wedding dinner at 7 pm. I've gotta attend a farewell party for you know who on monday afternoon. -sigh- so sad cuz that's gonne be the last time I'll be seeing her. x(
That's followed by finishing a group project for physics to be handed up on Thursday. "Water Rocket" what ever that is. So, that practically wraps up my CNY 2008! I hope you guys also had a memorable one. I certainly did, and still do. I need to go to bed now, it's 12.14 already. See y'all again ASAP!!
till then - good night

P.S. incase you guys wanted to know, Marina is as old as I am. 16 this year xP

It's the year of the rat. Lol, don't know why I made that statement<<<<<< but anyway, yeah.. it's the year of the rodent. So all ye' rodents out there, have a good year ahead. I'm visiting so many places and yet have so much homework. Gosh! Talk bout the physics project I was given last week on constructing a "Water Rocket", whatever the heck that is. It's due the following week, just hope i can jumble my time accordingly and who knows, I might have a wonderful stressless CNY after all. Okay guys, till next time.

my fish is swimming away

hey guys, sorry haven't been posting here for ages. just be so bz and caught up with things that i totally forgot bout my precious blog.
I don't think I really have much to tell you right now just this. Have you ever been told that if you want to find someone special in your life, you should wait at the pond to find the right fish because there are many beautiful fishes out there. Well, I found my fish bout say 3 years ago. She's everything I could possibly want. She's absolutely beautiful, nice, intelligent, friendly, good in sports, good in music, has a great personality and practically everything I've ever dreamed of. Sadly I have to say that she's 3 years my senior which makes her 19 this year. I've always enjoyed spending time with her when we're in a group together doing fun activities and i'll always treasure those moments. I've always been shy around her as expected but I can't help myself, she just makes me shiver and I tend to have superbly fast heart beats when i touch her. Ahhhhhhh!!!!! anyway, she's been accepted on a full scholarship to a university in Australia and the moment she announced it to the group, my heart was pounding unimaginably fast and I was waiting to hear the duration of the course. " I'll be there for a few years " and my heart completely shattered. I mean... I won't be seeing her for so long!! can you imagine that? I've never been so heart broken. She'll be leaving in mid- February so I only have about 2 1/2 weeks left to still able to see her. That's why I want to dedicate this song to her ( anonymous for safety precautions ). It's " Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx
I'll be waiting patiently for her to get back.. every second, every minute, every day.. I'll still be waiting for you...... I'll be ready !!

the after life of form 3 ( 10th grade )

Wassup fellowssssss....
Today's the 2nd day I'm back in school. Oh well, it has to resume sooner or later, just felt as if it was too soon. I would like to stress something out. I"m so AFRAID of CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS and too add insult to injury, I just started my 1st add math lesson and I didnt understand a single word the teacher said.. GOSH!! I'm so dead man. Not to mention chem. and physics and the rest of the subjects yet to come. ahhh, I just hope I get to live long enough to get myself through the whole year... Ironically as you guys know, for my getting straight A's hence me moving to the top class of form 4, my class is the only class that receives homework. Haha, the rest of the classes gets to relax while I have to do boring homework. :(
Anyway, I celebrated the New Year wonderfully with a reunion with my former school and classmates back at seafield and of course my dear girl from aussie. It was a blast and the night continued as the joy went from TGIF ( sunway pyramid ) to DUMC Dream Centre where I celebrated the rest of the night with me other friends at church. I actually sprained my thigh muscla jumping up and down during the fire works. "ouch !!"
Speaking of which, I finally played badminton again after about say.... 1 year and a half of not touching a badminton racket, very rusty yes but at least I can still play drop shots and smashes.. my backhand still sucks though. xP
It's getting late fellows, I think I better finish up some of the add math work and start on my novel 'Bukit Kepong'. I've gotta finish that my the end of January and it's 300+ pages long for Christ sake!! Moreover, it's in malayyyyy. :(
okay, i seriously gotta go now, see ya guys in another week i guess. I will have to endure another week at school again. till then peeps!!
