Feb Run-in

Hiya peoplez... I guess the highlight of 2010 so far is probably the last few days of February. Hmm…. Why you ask? Okay, let’s review on what happened…

26th Feb. Went out with old schoolmates. The agenda was a movie at Sunway pyramid, so yeah let me tell you exactly what happened.
Scene: outside the cinema
Darren: Okay guys, I’ll handle the food and drinks, you guys take care of the tickets.
Jun Liang : sure, np.
In the cinema room.
Darren gets excited ‘cause there are so many empty seats in the last three rows. However, Andrew and Jun Liang continue walking down the aisle. Darren gets bemused as the group went past the I row and then the H, G and F…
Darren: Dude! Where exactly are we seating?
Andrew: Relax, just follow me…
Group continues walking down the aisle… past the E row, D, C, B and finally to the A row… the front row! ZZzz
Darren: Are you joking?
Andrew: Nope..(giggles) The receptionist said the front row was quite far from the screen. (the distant was about 10 feet)
Darren: OMG!!! You guys should’ve bought tickets for another movie (we watched Little Big Soldier). Now I’m gonna suffer for the next 1 ½ hours.
Darren ends up having a neck ache and eye strain for the next few hours or so. XS

Oo, by the way I met loads of other ex-schoolmates at the cinema too. Had loads of catching up. We then left the cinema where we met more and more ex-school mates in and around Pyramid. So yeah, it was like back in the old days all over again...

27th February. Had an superb time at church. After that, got together with Samuel, Kin Hoe, Daniel and Kai Xiang for second band practice or rather the first official one (now that we have Sam as drummer). It was awesome, though my singing part still needed some fine-tuning. By the way, we’re doing ‘How you remind me’ by Nickelback and ‘Tomorrow Never comes” by Teddy Geiger. It’s for the performance during Velvet Concert in Sunway College on the 24th March. Do come if you can, it’s gonna be awesome! By the way, the audition is this coming Friday, 5th March, so hopefully everything will be ready and in place by then.

28th Feb. attended Sunday morning celebration. Unfortunately, I was too tired to listen much to the sermon (though that happens quite often). Left church and Dad decided for a family movie. My sis and I triumphed over my dad’s decision to watch ’14 Blades’ with my mum being neutral and thus we went for ‘The Book of Eli’. Had some pool playing lessons before the movie from dad though I still sucked max at the game.

Scene: At the cinema buying food and drinks.
Mum: Boy, what do you want?
Darren: errr… anything other than coke (I dislike coke) and Ice Lemon Tea will do.
Mum: Okay, then I’ll get you orange.
Darren: Nah, actually I’m kinda sick of orange already. I’ll take grape.
Mum: Okay.

After mum buys the stuff, she hands me a cup of orange drink. I was a lil’ confused..
Darren: Ma, I thought I said I wanted grape?
MuM: Yeah, I know… just now you said you wanted grape right? That’s why I got you orange la.

My sis and I stared at her for a moment… then we all started laughing. It was the manner in which she said it, subconsciously… so natural. Too funny…

During the early parts of the movie. The part where Denzel was eating cat meat and a rat entered the picture.
Crystal nudges me: Eh, ko..
Darren: what?
Crystal: My boyfriend’s on the screen.
Darren: Huh? (thinking she was referring to Denzel Washington)
Crystal: Never mind.
*looks at the screen* and realizes there are only two living things on the screen right now.
Darren: Retarded.

I guess she truly is a rat! Self-declares it too… xS

After the movie, I guess 14 Blades would’ve probably been nicer to watch. O’well I guess it’ll have to wait another time. By the way, my sis has be urging me to watch ‘Marley and Me’. Apparently, it’s a sure “Tear Initiator” (if that’s a word). She said anyone who doesn’t cry watching that movie doesn’t have a heart. We’ll see about that, I’ma show her some manliness xPxP
The day ended with MU wining the Carling Cup Final!!! Rooney is really unbelievable. Celebrations all around the world.

So yeah, I guess it’s been an eventful end to the month. If only this sorta things happen on a regular basis. How’d I love that. Oh and by the way, off the record… I got 6% outta 8 for my Math test. Argghhh… disappointing. I could’ve scored 8 if only I wasn’t over-confident.
Learning lesson – Never underestimate something/someone EVER!!

Anyhow, I have to go now… too much blabbering in one day can be quite dreadful. I guess I’ll see y’all again soon then. Till then
